sweet cornbread

you’re so sweet, sweet cornbread

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

1 1/2 cups flour

2/3 cup sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/3 cup veggie oil

3 tbsp melted butter

1 tbsp honey

2 eggs, beat

1 1/2 cup milk

preheat oven to 350 degrees. grease 8 x 8 dish.

in a bowl medium bowl mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. add oil, butter, honey, eggs, and milk. mix until most lumps are gone.

pour into greased dish and bake for 35 minutes. remove, cover with foil, and continue baking for 5-10 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.

let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
