the not-so-easy, easy way out

you know i try to cut as many corners as i can.

fruity pebbles

like not just with baking and cooking, like in life too. take work for example, i could park in the garage with everyone else, but instead i park in the reserved spot. no it’s not reserved for me, its reserved for an old employee. but they’re obviously gone now, anyone from my office and park there and it’s’ just like 2 more extra minutes to go all the way down in the garage then have to walk up the stairs and then take the elevator. by parking in the reserved spot i just walk up two flights of stairs. so much easier. cinna ingredies

now take running, i could wake up early and run every morning, but instead i just say i’m going to take the two flights of stairs at work for cardio. see? exercise! i don’t think it’s being lazy, i see it being more efficient!  cutting corners isn’t so bad after all.

in true court fashion, i cut corners for memorial day weekend! now that it’s this unspoken thing that i’m always bringing something sweet i was trying to figure out what i could bring. after having boring fro-yo with one of my girlfriends where they didn’t have fruity pebbles to top it with, just cinnamon toast crunch, i got an urge. cinnamon toast crunch treats! so i didn’t really cut corners.  i made rice krispy treats, but i made soupped up rice krispy treats. they’re so easy to make! cereal, check! marshmallows, always! butter, given! you always have all of the ingredients.bites

i ended up making boring old rice krispy treats 3 ways. the regular kind but with peanut butter m&ms, fruity pebble treats, and the main event… cinnamon toast crunch treats! uh, get in my belly!!! oh and just so you know, these all double as breakfast, duh. i can’t believe i had to tell you that, but the milk is substituted for marshmallows. you’re totally cool to give these to your kids, husbands, girlfriends, dogs (no maybe not the dogs) for breakfast on the go! you’re welcome. bites and bites and bites
