i talk thai, i talk thai real good

i was jones’n for a good noodle the other day and these hit the spot. perfect combo of spicy and sweet and this was my first thai recipe attempted. sorry for the crummy picture, someone needs to buy me a slr because the iphone is not cutting it anymore.

they are supposed to be served cold so all of the sauce will stick to the noodle so make the night before and enjoy for lunch the next day! lastly i didn’t have any sesame oil so i was just going to use all veggie oil, so glad i ran out and bought sesame oil, it was my first time using it and it has so much flavor, so use sesame oil.

spicy and sweet thai noodles

1 box linguine

1 tbsp crushed red pepper

1/4 cup veggie oil

1/2 cup sesame oil

6 tbsp honey

6 tbsp soy sauce

crushed peanuts and cilantro for topping

boil noodles, meanwhile heat both oils and crushed red pepper (if you like it hot hot hot use 2 tbsp, 1 tbsp was plenty for me) over medium heat about 10 minutes (or as long as noodles are cooking).

strain pepper out of oils, and reserve oil. add honey and soy sauce to oil and mix. strain noodles and return to pot. pour oil mixture over noodles and refrigerate over night.

top each serving with crushed peanuts and cilantro and serve cold.
