holy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!

there are so many recipes out there for chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies and why not try one of them on a lazy saturday? today’s recipe, not a good one, they had holes! so instead of giving you the terrible recipe i followed i’m going to give you the good one i use time and time again.

warning: the recipe i’m going to give you will yield a much better final product than pictured here.

oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

what you’re going to need:

1/2 lb butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

3 cups quick oats, uncooked

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

what you’re going to do:

heat oven to 350. beat together butter and sugars until creamy.

add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mix well.

stir in oats and chocolate chips, mix well.

drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack.

if you follow this recipe i promise your cookies will look so much better than this. trust me i made $$$ off them at my bake sale in november! go crazy bakers!!!
