perfect saturday lunch

this weekend was a perfect sunny fall weekend in dc, i could not sit inside and bake. a friend from the west coast was visiting and i decided to take him to one of the most well known burger spots in capitol hill, good stuff eatery i had been dying to try it. owned by spike mendelsohn, of top chef chicago, good stuff eatery is one of the most popular spots in dc for locals and visitors and you can tell by the line, totally worth the wait though!

the pic is of the farmhouse cheese burger and sunny’s handcut fries which were both great. the burger was the perfect size, not too greasy and cooked to perfection. unfortunately the best thing didn’t make the picture, a toasted marshmallow milkshake, to die for! not runny and not too thick, it was amazing!

if you find yourself in dc make sure to check it out, and don’t worry about the line, like i said, its definitely worth it.
